MIDNIGHT POEM

Lead me as if you were better, I want to drown in your love letters

Keep these dry elbows warm, and comfort my heart in the storm

Fake my fingertips on your skin, while you scream in your innocence of grim

Love like a toxic crime, flesh turned inside out and cut with a lime

Lay your head down dear, your future in gone, naïve skin always sliced with a clause

Being grazed by a train of emotion, you’ll learn to ration your explosions

H e a v y hands weighing down, gravity will pull and you feel the ground

Amongst weight on your limbs and flecks on your b o n e s

Keep your chin up love, the world is full of

h e a d s t o n e s
